Near the historic main log lodge, there are nine cabins in wooded settings, connected by gravel pathways and boardwalks to protect the delicate ground below. A strong emphasis has been made to keep the lodge grounds as natural as possible, and we think you’ll agree it’s amazingly serene to be “off the grid” and surrounded by peaceful forests, just steps from Skilak lake.
Kenai Backcountry Lodge features comfortable, newly renovated guest cabins. Cozy cabin interiors feature a minimum of two beds, simple furnishings, a private en suite bathroom and shower, a private porch and propane light and heat. Electrical outlets for recharging electronics are available in the main lodge and other public spaces on the property; we are able to support CPAP machines in certain cabins.
Guest cabins are just a short walk to the main lodge, where travelers gather for hearty, home-cooked meals. All cabins are also a short walk to our outdoor gazebo, wood-fired sauna and, of course, the beautiful beachfront on Skilak Lake.
